Model Version Glass Unit

Description

In the Model Version Glass Unit dialog window, you can specify new rules or edit existing ones to modify the copies of the glass units in the source file.

In the Properties group you can specify whether the same values of the source model or adjusted values should be used.

In the Composition group, you can specify whether the composition of the glass package should be identical to that of the source model or an adapted one.

If the composition is to be adapted, you can either select a glass material from the existing materials in the table or change the layer thickness. You can adjust the name and color of the gas filling if the U-value of the glass package is known.

In the Spacer list, you can select a spacer if it is not to be identical to that of the parent model.

Felder

Name

Name of the rule.

Click on the language code on the right side of the control panel to set the name in all supported languages.

Object name

Name of the glass unit (see also Properties flyout). If the name is empty, all glass units are adjusted, otherwise only the glass unit object with this object name.

Properties Variant

Here you determine whether the property values are identical to those of the original model or should be adjusted:

- Source model: The characteristic values of the source model are used
- Custom - U value: U value of the glass package is specified
- Custom - Gas type, emissivity: The gas type of the fillings and the emissivity of the surfaces are given

U

U-value of the glass unit.

hi resp. Ri

Internal heat transfer coefficient resp. resistance, depending on the settings in the Options.

he resp. Re

External heat transfer coefficient resp. resistance, depending on the settings in the Options.

Breite

Width of the window. Is required for the calculation according to ISO 15099.

Höhe

Height of the window. Is required for the calculation according to ISO 15099.

Composition Variant

Here you determine whether the structure is identical to that of the original model or should be adapted:
- Source model: The structure (layer thicknesses and properties) of the source model is used
- exact layer dimensions: The layer thicknesses correspond to those in the table. If the sum of all layer thicknesses does not correspond to the total thickness of the original model, this rule will not be executed.
- layer dimensions proportional: The layer thicknesses are adjusted proportionally if the total thickness does not correspond to the total thickness of the source model.
- only glass dimensions proportional: The glass layer thicknesses are adjusted proportionally if the total thickness does not correspond to the total thickness of the source model. The thicknesses of the gas layers are as defined in the table. If the sum of all gas layer thicknesses is greater than the total thickness of the original model, this rule will not be executed.
- only gas dimensions proportional: The gas layer thicknesses are adjusted proportionally if the total thickness does not correspond to the total thickness of the source model. The thicknesses of the glass layers are as defined in the table. If the sum of all glass layer thicknesses is greater than the total thickness of the original model, this rule will not be executed.

Insert

Click on the drop down arrow to insert either a material layer or a gas filling.

Delete

Deletes the selected layer.

Spacer

Select the correct spacer form the list of spacers, if it should not be identical with the source model.

OK

Accepts all data and closes the dialog window.

Cancel

Cancels all actions. The data will not be transferred.
